If you are looking for a change in pace from traditional plate loading exercises, or dumbbell training, a Medicine Ball can be a great way to mix up your routine. Used on their own, Medicine Balls are most commonly used to add some resistance to core exercises such as crunches, and core strengthening exercises. With a gym partner, medicine balls can be used for a variety of different throwing exercises, as well as (depending on the type) bouncing off the ground or wall. For the occasional user, the Medicine Ball or “Med Ball” as commonly referred, is a nice switch from using dumbbells. With Athletic training or Bootcamps Med balls are a great way to work on functional movements particular to the sport, and can be a lot of fun!
